Lowepro Fastpack 250 Backpack was well engineered. Seems to be roomy enough without being overbearing. It was a great deal as a daily special. The camera space is configurable, so you can adjust it to the type of lens that you carry, the laptop space is great! It holds laptop like a baby and the upper pocket gives you just the extra space to store all your other small things. Great backpack
lowepro fastpack 250 Backpack layout - Really enjoyed the functionality of quick side access to the camera and top portion of the bag. Taking out and shooting is fairly easy as the zippers can be adjusted to the side so that you can unzip and grab your DSLR. The side mesh of the bag served no use for us as we couldn't fit a Nalgene bottle in it; a small 16.9 disposable bottle is probably the best case. My smaller water bottles did fall out unfortunately. The top portion is the favorite part of the bag as we could fit a Kindle, Wi-Fi, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology along with a point and shoot, keys, mp3 player, and a sandwich in that space. Perfect for quick access during airplane travel.

The Case Logic SLRC 206 Multifunction Backpack is designed to protect laptops with up to 15.4" screens and hold the SLR camera body with attached zoom lens. The bag looks great, and many people have commented that they couldn't tell it was a camera bag (which is a plus for theft deteren). orange/yellow inside has a nice wow factor. Camera sling/quick draw system is good, easy to remove camera (canon xsi/450d). nice lens padding.
Tripod holder good, while i thought it might fallout, it never did, walked around a lot with bag, and placed bag in and out of transportations multiple times through out days of trip.
Bag could be lighter, but weight can be expected from quality materials and plastic base, which always stood up, never toppled over. Bag really only has 1 pocket, the large one for the camera and lenses, the side pocket and front pocket are very shallow and can't really put much in them, especially the side pocket. battery charger, cables, small things. This Bag also should have included rainhood or at least a seperate pocket to house one. Few of the areas such as the lens compartments such as the first 2 and the last ones are kind of inconvenient due to flap and plastic base, not that big of a deal though. Would have been nice if zippers had that little lock rings so that you can put a small lock on them.
